Stages of Design

Discovery

Our journey together begins by gathering an understanding of how you live, work and play in your spaces every day, identifying areas that require attention so we can optimise the functionality and organisation of your home, for your needs, today and into the future. This is paired with an understanding of your aesthetic vision and distilled to create your unique design concept, depicting the direction from which your perfect space will evolve.

This stage includes:

  • an in-home or virtual consultation

  • an annotated concept board which will provide the visual brief to anchor the project

  • a detailed brief to outline the scope and requirements of the design

  • an estimate proposal (budget, time and design fee) for stage 2

Detail

This is where we explore options, test, revise and tweak to maximise delivery of the brief. We begin by optimising the spatial plan and considering options for lighting, furniture & joinery layout. From there, an in-depth search is carried out to source the best furnishings and finishes to meet your brief and bring your vision to life. We take the weight off your shoulders whilst keeping you informed and consulted throughout the process.

This typically includes (depending on requirements):

  • detailed drawings: plans, elevations and 3d visuals of your space, including lighting, furniture and bespoke joinery

  • suppliers/trade meetings with you to discuss bespoke work

  • fabric and finish samples

  • a fully itemised sourcing list

Delivery

The final stage makes the vision a reality, this can include:

  • arranging the procurement and delivery of your sourcing list

  • schedule of works and project briefing with the contractor

  • site visits during implementation, helping to clarify and troubleshoot challenges that may arise, and working closely with your contractors/ architect

  • final styling to dress your home
